The medieval battle axe is a replica of those typical during the 12th century. The head of these battle axe is made of cast metal and has intricate engraving work for an authentic look. The handle is also metal with ridges for a better grip. The pole part of these medieval battle axe are wrapped in genuine leather with leather lacing. It has a truly medieval look and feel.
Some were for long-range and some were for close encounters. Medieval chain weapons were used in melee battle and axes medieval weapons were for long range fighting. From crossbows to halberds, knight weapons come in many different styles. Depending on the era, the weapon can be very ornate or rudimentary. Some were made for battle and others as purely ornamental for a medieval knights costume. Our items are historically accurate representations dating from the Middle Ages.
