These micro pulverizers utilized for soft materials like chemicals, dyestuff, foodstuff, pharma bulk drugs etc. for fine grinding. Since the pulverizer is used vastly for chemicals & bulk drugs, and other heat sensitive materials, it has a built-in water jacket to control the temperature in the grinding chamber. 
The grinding takes place through attrition between the high speed swinging hammers and serrated liners. Due to very high speed and a smaller chamber size, a higher fineness is achieved as compared to hammer mill.
