This flute profile possesses more flutes per foot, about 50, than A-flute. It exhibits greater crush resistant properties and good support. It makes the box surface rigid, which makes it easier for printing and dies cutting activities. B-flute profile can be used for a range of corrugated boxes as well as for additional pads to give more cushioning effect, dividers or partitions within corrugated boxes and other such inner packing. They are particularly helpful for packing glass products and other fragile items. This flute profile is usually combined with light weight liners but they can also be combined with heavy liners. Corrugated boxes made of B-flute take less space when stacked.
