Unique feature of phenolic foam (ECOTHERM)
1) Zero acid: Ecotherm has very little acid in it and aqueous extract is neutral. Hence, it has relatively very low water absorption and virtually no corrosion.While the aqueous extract of available phenolic foam in Indian market is highly acidic in nature which indicates high concentration of residual acids present in it. High concentration of residual acids is responsible for higher water absorption and of course, high degree of corrosion.
2) Very low friablity : Ecotherm is far superior than the available phenolic foam in  Indian Market, in terms of friability. The high friability, inherent form the brittle nature of phenolic structure, has led to serious problems such as debonding in sandwich structures, low volubility to handling and dust pollution in working area.
