Diamond wheel sharpening heads produce square, center sharp and rounded edges in course, medium and fine grits. Sharpening heads are oversized to operate at fewer revolutions per minute while reducing the level of heat friction that can destroy squeegee rubber. A built-in vacuum system keeps the sharpening area clean. Guard enclosure assures maximum operator safety.
The Sharper-Image™ Squeegee Sharpener consistently produces accurate edges while controlling ink and squeegee pressure uniformity with extreme and reliable accuracy. Sharp squeegees eliminate streaks and skips. The Sharper Image is the ideal squeegee sharpener for use on blades that print UV inks or clear coatings.
Two models of Sharper-Image are available to meet the demands of every screen printer. The auto-cut models provide fully automated operation, and the heavy duty table model is ideal for use on small squeegees. Designed to produce the same results as the larger models, the Sharper-Image table model is complete with an oversized (3") diameter sharpening wheel, vacuum chamber and extra heavy-duty motor.
Adjustable camber control pre-bows the squeegee. Variable speed power-driven heads and carriage allow the highest accuracy while sharpening. The table model has easy glide tracking for uniform sharpening. Built-in vacuum system removes squeegee particles keeping the area clean. Maximum operator safety is assured with complete guard enclosure on the larger models. Oversized sharpening heads reduce heat distortion on squeegees by operating on less revolutions per minute. Various-shaped diamond wheels are available in course, medium and fine grits for cutting, polishing and shaping.
