The bitter herb is known for many health benefits. The herb grows to 3-4 ft tall and have blue flowers and leaves in opposite pairs which are about 10 cms in length with no stalks.

Origin : The medicinal herb is known from early years and used in ayurveda.   In Sanskrit it is known as Bhunimba or Kirata tikta
