SHITAL PH METER is a direct reading, two point calibration instrument, reads PH or MV on a digital red LED display. It is used to measure acidity or alkalinity of a solution. SHITAL digital pH meter finds use in chemical, pharmaceutical, sugar, food, cosmetics, plating, water conditioning & waste water treatment and many other industries where pH monitoring is required. Suitable for potentiometer measurement with appropriate electrode.

Shital colony counter is used for fast accurate counting and recording of bacteria and mould colonies in biology, zoology , bacteriology , pathology labs etc.

Shital colony counter is illuminated with a fluorescent lamp for uniform cool light illumination and is provided with a high quality magnifying glass for ease of viewing. A special pen type probe allows marking with an audio beep and counting simultaneously. Counting is registered on a 4 digit resetable counter.

FLEXIBLE HEATING CORDS FOR MAXIMUM SURFACE TEMP 400C Flexible heating cords are made from high grade resistance wire and covered with fiber glass yarn sleeves. These cords are flexible and can be wrapped on metallic or non-metallic pipe, funnel, beakers, valves, pots of any shape where heating is necessary. These cords are easy to wrap on any shape article. These cords are available in different length like 2.5m, 5m, 10m and 20m and can be used on single phase a-c supply. The wattage density is 0.5 watt/cm length. Introduction SHITAL DIGITAL FLOCCULATOR has been specially designed for use in water treatment plants as jar test apparatus to correctly estimate the dosing of alum and other such coagulants for treatment of water & sewage. The Shital heating mantles are manufactured with heating surface which are resilient and can hug the flasks to take several size or multi size flasks in the same mantle as indicated in the table below. The size of 10 liters have two heating circuits and the size of 20 Ltrs have 3 heating circuits. When heating a small flask or when the contents of the flask are low, the upper heating circuits can be switched off by a switch or switches provided on the outer metal case.
In the initial stages of heating, the heating surface will become brown or black with the evolution of some fumes owing to the burning out of size for emulsion used in weaving the fiber glass yarn. On continued use the color will fade and disappear, no more fumes being evolved.

The mantle should not normally be operated without a load in the form of a flask with contents as this may give rise to over heating. A maximum temperature of 400 c can be achieved with these mantles.

The energy regulator incorporates a bi-metal switch and a timing mechanism to operate it in such a way that the on and off periods can be varied continuously from full on to full off, thus controlling the energy input over any given interval of time. The dial of the regulator shows 100 divisions marked arbitrarily. To control the tem., turn the knob clockwise and keep the pointer on the 100^thmark and when the reading on the thermometer is about(10c) below the desired temperature turn the knob slowly in an anticlockwise direction watching the temperature after each adjustment. Once the temperature stabilizes the dial reading may be recorded for future reference. It must be remembered that the energy regulator is not a thermostat, but controls temperature by regulating the average energy input over a period of time. The appliance temperature requires some time to stabilize. This will happen after the pilot light is on and off a number of times. If after this the correct temperature is not obtained a very slight adjustment may be necessary which may be done by turning the knob clockwise to increase the temperature and anti-clockwise to lower it.

SHITAL HOT AIR OVENS:

Shital make ovens are designed , fabricated and tested to suit various applications in ever growing field of medical , agricultural , industrial research for day to day heating , drying , sterilizing , baking etc. In laboratories , hospitals and industries. It is also useful to destroy bacteria , virus , fungus by application of dry heat.

CONSTRUCTION:

Shital ovens are sturdy , double or triple wall Memmert type (heating elements from three sides) construction with complete inner chamber made of aluminum or stainless steel . Outer cabinet is made out of CRCA sheets which are properly treated for degreasing and rusting . The outer is painted with duco paint . 50 to 65 mm gap is filled with glass wool for proper insulation to avoid heat losses. Inner chamber is provided with runners to hold the shelves. The oven is provided with 2 to 3 shelves as per the different height of the inner chamber. The shelves are G.I. crimp wire mesh. Door is fitted with heavy casted chrome plated hinges with roller type spring loaded latch and catch.

HEATING ELEMENTS:

The heating elements are made of nickel-chrome 80/20 nichrome wire which are fixed on porcelain insulator and mounted on asbestos mill board having stainless steel screw as terminals which are heat and corrosive resistance. Such type of two or multiple are fitted at bottom with perforated cover proper air circulation. Heaters are connected with three heat switches for low / medium and high temperatures.

TEMPERATURE CONTROL:

Temperature is generally controlled by "ego" German make liquid expansion type S.S. steam , capillary type thermostat having temperature range from 50.c to 300.c . The normal temperature range of the oven is upto 250.c. Temp control knob is graduated in 0.c. As the marking on the knob are not very accurate the actual temperature is to be adjusted with reference to the thermometer. The provision is provided to insert glass thermometer from the top of the unit.

VENTILATION:

An adjustable ventilator is fitted on the top of the oven to ventilate gas/fumes if any and to help air circulation. A hole is provided at the bottom of the unit for air inlet.

This water distillation unit is designed to give pyrogen free distilled water. This is needed practically in every laboratory, hospitals, research institution, industries, colleges, pathological lab and other many more labs where the distilled water is needed.

Construction :
The complete body is fabricated out of S.S. 304 grade material. A baffle is provided to avoid splashing of row water particles into condenser pipe. A cock is provided at water inlet to control the water flow inside the unit. The constant level attachment maintains water level inside boiling chamber and excessive water is thrown away. A lid is automatically sealed by water forming in a recess provided at the top of the boiling chamber. The flange of the lid rests in this ring. The cold water which enters in the coolant pipe condenses the steam into distilled water and preheated water gets into the boiling chamber. This reduces the electric consumption. The condenser pipe is easily removable for cleaning in condenser opening type.

Heaters :
The water still is fitted with self ejection type heating element which disconnects electric supply connector if still runs without water. Even though care should be taken not to run the still without sufficient water flow as the protective arrangement cannot be expected to work for several operations. The heating elements are easilt replaceable.
The stated output of the still is approximate as it depends on supply voltage fluctuations.

Catalogue cum operating instruction for automatic pipette washer electrically heated
It is used for unattended batch cleaning of pipettes up to 375mm long. Pipettes are inserted in the carrier. Six to eight siphoning cycles , each requiring about one minute, is sufficient to clean pipettes. The pipettes remain in carrier for soaking , washing and rinsing operation. Keep pipettes for operation in pipette carrier only.
Connect inlet tap provided on machine with rubber pipe to water tap. Allow the chamber of the washer to fill with water up to the maximum water level.
As soon as the maximum water level is reached with symphonic principal water will come out from the outlet pipe with pressure. In about one minute the whole apparatus will be empty upto the water tap level , cleaning the pipettes.
Electrical heater is used to warm the water inside the chamber for quick cleaning.
