Tamarind powder is a distinctively sour spice derived from crushed tamarind and tamarind pulp. Both a condiment and a souring agent are used with it. A naturally occurring powder known as tamarind powder is produced from tamarind pulp. Magnesium is widely present in tamarind. The tamarind fruit contains tartaric, malic, and citric acids, which are what give it its sour flavor. Thiamine and folate are two of the B vitamins that tamarind is particularly high in. Tamarind has a long history of medicinal uses, just like most ancient foods do. Tamarind powder is thought to be beneficial for diabetic patients as it may also help to regulate insulin levels and blood sugar.
