Introduction

Coir or Cocopeat Compost is the compost made from Cocopeat (Powder generated from coconut huk). The compost has all the properties of compost. Cocopeat is generally used as a grow media in horticulture. When converted into compost its C:N ration decreases, reduces its lignin and cellulose content. Thus it makes the plant nutirtions available to the plants. It has all the benifits of a regular compost such as it increases soil porosity and water holding capacity, helps root growth. It also Increases Ammonification, nitrification and nitrogen fixation.

Introduction

Vermi Compost is an organic manure produced by earthworms by consuming organic materials such as organic waste. Vermicompost is consisiting of excreta of earthworms. Vermi compost is rich in humus. Vermi Compost is a compost made with the help of earthworms or Vermis.

Vermi-compost is produced by rearing earthworms into biodegradable materials such as agricultural waste, animal dung, waste fruits and vegetables etc. it takes approximately 2-3 months for the batch preparation.

Vermi compost is odorless, clean, and contains nutrients like NPK and micronutrients. It's also rich in beneficial microorganisms, including N-fixers, cellulose decomposing microorganisms, and psolubilizers. Du e to creation of humus it improves soil texture, increases its water holding capacity.
