The Jackets assure consistent valve Heating or Cooling of the process media to prevent crystallization or seizing of flow media. The Jacketed Ball Valve (Heating Jacket Ball Valve) with very well design to help the high temperature steam or oil flow over the valve ball & body parts to keep the media liquid. This applies especially to media like bitumen, asphalt, chocolate, liquid sulfur, molten sulphur, Lactum & Soap application. In addition, the efficient flow of media is ensured through the elimination of pockets.

Nivz Valves & Automation offers a variety of Jacketed Ball Valve. The Jacket covers the body from one flange to the other flange. Jacketed Valve body is modified by adding oversize flanges. As example: 4" x 6" Steam Jacketed Ball Valve has the nominal bore of 4" (DN 100) and the flange size is 6"(DN 150). It allows enough space for bolting clearance after jacket fabricated on valve body. Full Jacketed ball valves being used to handle highly viscous materials or materials that solidifies at ambient temperatures.

Steam, Thermic Fluid Oil (High Temperature Oil) or Hot Water can be used as carrier for heating media. Following quality assurance rules, every valve is tested again after the Jackets have been welded (Fabricated) to the body. Jacket Hydraulic & Air Test is carried out at 6.0 Kg. /Cm2.

Generally standard Jacketed Ball Valves are delivered in cast carbon steel (ASTM A 216 GR. WCB) and different types of stainless steel (ASTM A 351 GR. CF 8/8M/3/3M) materials. Other special materials are available upon special request. Body Material S.S. 304/316/304L/316L with M.S./S.S. Jacket option available. Jacket connection Flanged End or Female Threaded End as per customer choice provide.

Nivz Valves & Automation Jacketed 25% Glass Filled Teflon (25% GFT) seated Ball Valves gives Zero Leakage, Tight Shut-Off and Low operating Torque with easy smooth operation at temperature ranging from -200 C. to +2200 C. Electro-Polished, Buff Finish & Ultra clean valve also provided for Food & Pharmaceutical Industries on special request.

Operation of Jacketed Ball Valve

Nivz Valves & Automation Jacketed Ball Valves are generally supplied with manual hand lever operated up to size of valve 4" x 6" (DN 100 x 150) above size provided with worm-gear type quarter turn gear box. Nivz Valves & Automation also offering Ball Valves with either Pneumatic or Electrical actuator operated for automation, which is specialty of ours. Pneuamatic Type quarter turn rotary actuators are available with option Single Acting - Spring Return type or Double Acting.
