It has a flute that wraps around the tap axis in a spiral or a helical configuration. Spiral Flute Tap evacuate the chips out of the hole cleanly to make sure that no chips remain in the hole. Spiral Flute Taps are made from High-Speed Steel with Ground Threads. It is suitable for tapping on materials such as Carbon Steel, Alloy steels and, non - ferrous materials. The longer Chamfer for taps distributes cutting over a greater number of teeth. It is recommended not to use taps for tapping Material over 32 HRC.
