These applications are for below-the flow installations where the product flows over the magnet face. Spout MagnetsStar Trace diverter Spout Magnets provide maximum ferrous tramp metal separation in high volume chute applications where wash-off can be a problem. Circular Lifting Magnet
Circular Lifting Magnet is designed using high permeability steel casting conforming IS:4491 (BSS-1617). Circular Lifting Magnet is properly designed in order to ensure efficient magnetic circuit. The periphery of the magnet is heavily ribbed to give added mechanical strength and an increased radiation surface to aid cooling. Center & Outer Poles of Circular Lifting Magnet are made from high permeability magnet steel with cored recesses arrangement to protect heads of through tensile bolts. The faces of poles from spigot joints in magnet shell, the outer poles of larger magnets are skirted for added. The pole shoes are easily replaceable. Shells of Star Trace Lifting Magnets are made from high permeability Steel Casting as per IS:4491(BSS-1617), properly machined, to provide the most efficient magnetic circuit. The periphery of the magnet is heavily ribbed to give added mechanical strength and an increased radiation surface to aid cooling. Center & Outer Poles are machine from high permeability magnet steel with cored recesses arrangement to protect heads of through tensile bolts. The faces of poles from spigot joints in magnet shell, the outer poles of larger magnets are skirted for added. The pole shoes are easily replaceable. Terminal Box is designed to ensure protection whilst in operation and are of double entry type enabling the leads from the coils to be sealed in a separate cavity. The outside cable is brought through a gland into this second compartment ensuring no possibility of moisture entering the windings. Magnetizing Coils for magnet size up to 900 mm dia is pure annealed wire wound and above these are strip wound. The glass insulation of class H standard with Fibreglass NOMEX tape forming an interlayer makes coil withstand high temperature. Bumping Plates are of high grade Manganese Steel Casting as per IS - 276 with heavy ribs for added strength. These are clamped in position by the center and outer poles offering complete protection to the coil. The magnets are suspended with three legged STRING CHAINS made of best quality forged steel terminating in a forged ring. A two core cable is provided for connection with the supply and suitable insulated plug and socket ensure easy operation.

Rare Earth TolerancesFor as pressed material, tolerance on the thickness (direction of magnetization) is +/- .127mm. Other Dimensions are +/- 2.5% or +/-.254mm, whicherer is greater. According to Magnet Materials Producers Association (MMPA) standards, visual imperfections such as hairline cracks, porosity and minor chips are commonly found in sintered metallic magnets. A chipped edge is considered acceptable if no more than 10% of the surface is missing. Cracks are acceptable as long as they do not extend across more then 50% of of pole surface. Rare Earth MachiningSince rare earth magnet material is prone to chipping and cracking, it does not lend itself to conventional machining methods. It can, however, be abrasively ground, but only with the use of liberal amounts of coolant. The coolant minimizes heat fracturing and the risk of fires caused by oxidized grinding dust. Rare Earth Magnetizing and HandlingRare earth magnets are very brittle and very strong magnetically. Therefore, it is crucial to handle these magnets with extreme care to avoid personal injury and damage to the magnets. Fingers can be severely pinched between attracting magnets. Magnets can be chip if allowed to "Jump at" an attracting object. It is highly recommended that when constructing rare earth magnetic assemblies, they be magnetized after assembly.

Our Circular Lifting Electro Magnets are of robust cast and bolted or fabricated construction designed for handling Solid Slabs, Steel Ingots, Bloom Billets, Pig Iron, Light finished parts, Scrap and gives maximum reliability, efficient and economical performance in the most arduous service condition. Besides, we are one of the major Circular Magnetic Lifters Manufacturers in the business. Shells of Star Trace Lifting Magnets are made from high permeability Steel Casting as per IS: 449 (BSS- 1617), properly machined, to provide the most efficient Magnetic Circuit. The periphery of the magnet is heavily ribbed to give added mechanical strength and an increased radiation surface to aid cooling. Center & Outer Poles are machined from high permeability Magnet Steel with Cored recesses arrangement to protect heads of through tensile bolts. The faces of poles from spigot joints in Magnet shell, the outer poles of larger Magnets are skirted for added protection. The pole shoes are easily replaceable. Terminal Box is designed to ensure protection whilst in operation and is of double entry type enabling the leads from the coils to be sealed in a separate cavity. The outside cable is brought through a gland into this second compartment ensuring no possibility of moisture entering the windings. Magnetizing Coils for magnet size up to 900 mm dia is pure annealed wire wound and above these are strip wound. The glass insulation of class H standard with Fibre glass NOMEX tape forming an interlayer makes coil withstand high temperature. Bumping Plates are of high grade Manganese Steel Casting as per IS - 276 with heavy ribs for added strength. These are clamped in position by the center and outer poles offering complete protection to the coil. The magnets are suspended with three legged STRING CHAINS made of best quality forged steel terminating in a forged ring. A two core cable is provided for connection with the supply and suitable Insulated plug and socket ensure easy operation.
