Ginseng powder is extracted from root of plant- Panax ginseng also known as Korean Ginseng/ Asian Ginseng/ or True ginseng characterized by phytochemical- ginsenosides. Ginseng has been used traditional medicine over centuries to treat conditions such as- fatigue, lack of appetite, headache and dizziness. Ginseng root contains various polysaccharides, saponins, sterols, polyalkenes and essential oils. Ginseng is reported to possess hormone- like and cholesterol- lowering effects, promotes vasodilation, and act as an anxiolytic and antidepressant. It has been used to both stimulate and relax the nervous system. Ginseng as a prophylactic and restorative agent for enhancement of mental and physical capacities, in case of weakness, exhaustion, tiredness, and loss of concentration.
