Citronellol, Citronellal, Limonene and Geraniol are the major components of oil of Citronella. Extraction: The Pure Essential Oils of Citronella is one of the most popular oils derived through the traditional process of steam distillation from Cymbopogon Nardus, a certain type of lemon grass. The oil is taken out from the thin leaves of Cymbopogon. It is a pale yellow to yellowish brown color liquid having sweet and refreshing aroma with thin consistency. Apart from this, Citronella oil is one of the most widely used oils in aromatherapy treatments that comes with numerous health, skin and hair care benefits. The major constituents are Geranyl and Citronellyl Esters. Other esters found in Geranium oil include Geranyl acetate, Geranyl tiglate, Citronellyl formate, and Citronellyl acetate. Extraction: The essential oil of Geranium is a colourless liquid but have a light greenish shade derived through the extensive process of steam distillation from the stems and leaves of the plant Pelargonium odorantissimum (belongs to the Geraniaceae family). The oil has a distinct sweet aroma similar of roses. Its sweet, floral fragrance soothes, calms and relaxes both body and mind.
