Operating Instructions :

• Insert the mains lead into the mains socket and the socket provided on the left hand side
• of the cabinet.
• Switch the Instrument ON with the help of the switch marked Mains of the front panel.
•  The red indicator above the ON switch starts glowing and indicates that the mains voltage
• is available. Also the four digit display marked COUNT starts displaying either all Zero’s or
• some count.
• Press the Reset switch once. Now the COUNT is 0000.
• Insert the animal into the chamber.
• Switch the Shock ON with the help of the Switch marked ON near the voltmeter. The green
• indicator starts glowing.
• St the Shock Strength value on the Voltmeter with the help of SHOCK STRENGTH to the
• desired value according to the experiment.
• Now because of the Shock available on the grid, the animal starts moving here and there.
• This movement is recorded on the Four Digits Counter and is displayed on the front panel
• marked with COUNT.
• Interrelate the count value with the experiment requirements being performed.

Precautions:

• Keep the instrument clean and dry.
• Do not handle the instrument with wet hands.
• Do not try to touch the grill when the SHOCK STRENGTH is on.
• Handle the Perspex box carefully.
