Box Compression Tester

Box Compression Tester Digital Model is used to measure the compression potency, strength or stacking power of beehive crates, cartons, corrugated boxes, paper cases, paper tanks, etc. The tester is a well-engineered apparatus, designed especially to calculate the load range a box or a carton can bear till complete failure. With this highly accurate and stable testing equipment, it becomes very easy to ensure the highest strength of the corrugated boxes and other packaging materials provided to your customers. Box Compression Tester is used to measure the compression potency, strength or stacking power of beehive crates, cartons, corrugated boxes, paper cases, paper tanks, etc. The Box compression tester is a well-engineered apparatus, designed especially to calculate the load range a box or a carton can bear till complete failure. In this procedure, weight of specific range is chosen to completely crush the specimen in a set time period to measure the maximum stacking load. 
It is a solid instrument which requires sufficient space in a laboratory to place with user-friendly controls. Cardboard boxes must have sufficient compression strength so that they do not get crushed when stack one above the other at the time of transportation or storage. The compression strength of a carton is gauged simply by placing a test specimen say, corrugated box or carton between two parallel plates. Now set the compression strength and the standard time period from the digital panel to compress the specimen.
Two models of Box Compression Tester are available, namely Digital and Computerized cum Digital Model. 
At the time of storage or transportation, cartons and corrugated boxes were placed one above the other which leads to compression. To ensure the safety of the products kept inside the cartons, it is quite important to measure the quality and the compression strength of corrugated boxes. This development toward enhancing the quality of packaging has now-a-days, contributed a lot to safeguard the products during transportation and storage because the concept of plastic wrapping has completely removed. 
The compression strength of a product is determined by a number of factors:

• Size and Measurement of the cartons
• Depends on the storage techniques like stacking and various circumstances like climate, etc.
• Material Properties of an object includes stiffness and compression strength.

• The compression strength is measured in the following units: N, lbf or kgf.
• It has Digital display.
• It is operated on a single phase.
• It is solid model, light in weight, appropriate for stable performance.

• Highly Stable - Designed on heavy duty iron plates.
• Heavy duty assembly with two columns.
• Podium size of the machine is 600mm x 600mm to place the specimen safely.
• Maximum weight that can be exerted on a box can be of 1000kg.
• The least count of the instrument is 500g.
• The power supply required to operate the apparatus is 2.5KW
• The plate of the apparatus moves towards the specimen at a rate of 10+/- 3 mm per minute (where, the HOME location speed is 2” per minute).
• It is incorporated with a motor of 3 HP which operates on a 3 phase power supply.
• It is built-up on a rigid metal base plate.
• The machine is coated with autumn gray and blue combination paint along with bright zinc plating which provides a rust resistant finish.

The testing instrument supplied complete with an Instruction Guide and Electrical Wiring Diagram & along with Calibration Certificate perceptible to NABL approved Labs.
