Features of centrally driven clariflocculator
• diameter of the flocculation tank is determined according to the diameter of the clarifier tank.
• rake arm mechanism and drives are supported by bridge truss.
• clariflocculator are designed according to 24 flocculation paddles with independent drives.
• flocculation paddles coverage ranges from 20 to 25% of the cross-sectional area of the flocculation tank.
• the settled solids are scrapped by means of a rake arm (scraper) through the central sludge pocket and clear overflow is collected in a peripheral launder.
• drives for clarifiers are selected according to the application and the required torque, to achieve the tip speed of scraper to 2.5 mminute.
• drives for flocculator are selected according to the application and the required torque, to achieve the tip speed of the flocculation paddle up to 0.3 – 0.4 mminute.
• drive arrangement is comprised of:
1. drive mechanism (act-dh)
2. worm reducer (make: as per client requirement)
3. chain drive with guard
4. motor (make: as per client requirement)
