Field testing kit

we are offering field testing kit to determine quality index of trnsformer oils in service. significant advantages for the field testing kit for determining inter facial tension & acidity of transformer oil in service developed by central power research institute.
1. the field test for ift of insulation oil developed by cpri can be used as a simple and effective tools for determining ift.
2. the shape of the indicator spot has been used for classifying oils into different ift ranges.
3. a combination of the shape of a particular oil can be used for determine the ift of the oil at site.
4. the present method is simples and requires inexpensive, commercially available materials. therefore it can be deployed even in substation with poor infrastructure facilities.
5. the fields test ift described above in combination with the acidity kit developed by cpri. can be used to assess the quality index of the oil in service.
in the case of transformer where normal maintenance is done periodically, this field test for quality assessment would enable the screening oil sample to be sent for laboratory testing and also would facilitate immediate remedial action to be taken in needful cases.
in the case of distribution transformer where normal maintenance procedure is not carried out due to various constraints this field testing kit for quality index will be of great use to assess the quality of oil in services.
