Equipment Function
The smoke alarm production test tunnel is used for batch test or calibration smoke alarm and detector in production process. The main parts, aerosol generator and obscuration meter are fully same as standards smoke tunnel to ensure high reliable test result. The aerosol concentration in the smoke box is controlled by fine-tuned PID to maintain constant OBS of smoke in a narrow range of +/-0.004dB/m. The smoke alarm production test tunnel is installed on production assembly line. The alarms are placed on the conveyor belt and flow into the smoke box. After passing through the smoke box, check the status of the alarm. You can batch quickly test the smoke alarm or calibrate the sensitivity. The specially developed zomtest smoke test tunnel software carries out constant smoke control and continuous monitoring of smoke concentration. The speed of the conveyor belt shall be adjusted according to the response time of the sensor to improve the production efficiency.

Equipment Function
The smoke alarm production test tunnel was designed for batch test or calibration of sensitivity test of Smoke alarms or detectors. The basic work principle is compliance to EN 14604 and EN 54-7. It consist of test tunnelaerosol generator, obscuration sensor, controller and computer. The obscuration meter was made of high quality electrical and optical components to ensure precision and stable reading. The two floor trays support by rodless air cylinders. They can extend and extract by press button or automatic control. The lids are fixed on tray and can close the opening in extended position and extraction position. The Zomtest Smoke Test Tunnel Software in English is able to set the air speed, aerosol buildup rate (ramp test), constant obs set value.
The aerosol concentration is controlled to set value by PID algorithm and can maintain the smoke density with +/-0.004dB/m in reading when door keep closing. After exchange of samples tray, the smoke density will drop and then resume to +/-0.005 range within half minute.

The aerosol generator atomizes liquid paraffin into aerosol through the nozzle. It is mainly designed for the sensitivity and function test of smoke alarm and detector. SM220 aerosol generator adopts compressed gas to atomize liquid paraffin, therefor the aerosol generator includes precision pressure regulating valve and pressure gauge and time controller. It combines two operation modes: external and internal control modes. In external control mode, the aerosol on/off is controlled by 20VDC input signal. In internal control mode, the aerosol on/off is controlled by embed timer and external 24VDC power supply. The work duration and time interval are settable on time controller.

The equipment is intended for gas alarm or Carbon monoxide alarm sampling test. The equipment provides a sealed stainless-steel chamber with glass door for monitoring alarm status. The volume of chamber and size of samples shelves are custom-made. It can contain about 10 alarms. The controller control high speed valve to inject quantitative high concentration gas into chamber and the gas stirred by circulating fan to get homogeneous test gas in certain concentration. That gas will be test gas for response test or threshold setting of gas alarm product. The equipment provides a sealed stainless-steel chamber with glass wall for monitoring alarm status. The special designed big open door can close and secure easily without gas leakage. The volume of chamber and size of samples shelves are custom-made. It can hold 100 alarms normally. The controller injects quantitative high concentration gas into chamber and the gas stirred by circulating fan to get homogeneous test gas in certain concentration. That gas will be test gas for response test or threshold setting of gas alarm product. The circulating fan and porous plate are also specially arranged to get uniform test gas and avoid the high concentrating gas getting into alarm directly during gas injection.
On the top of chamber, the inlet and outlet and exhaust fan are controlled by PLC to exchange air in chamber.

The equipment provides a sealed stainless steel test chamber that can accommodate approximately 200 gas detectors. Through the controller, a high concentration of target gas can be quantitatively injected to form the required test gas concentration inside the chamber. It can be used for batch calibration or testing of carbon monoxide and combustible gas detectors. The chamber is equipped with an air circulation fan, which allows the test gas to diffuse quickly and achieve a uniform and stable test gas concentration, avoiding adverse effects caused by high concentration gases on the detectors. The top of the chamber has gas inlet and outlet ports and an exhaust fan. The inlet and outlet ports are controlled by solenoid valves. After opening the solenoid valve and starting the exhaust fan to remove the test gas from the chamber, the chamber door can be opened to replace gas detectors. A movable sample rack is used to install samples. Aged samples can be directly pushed into the calibration test chamber, saving assembly and disassembly time.
