Gujarat, more particularly the Saurashtra region, is famous for groundnuts along with Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. The Saurashtra varieties are more famous all over the world, due to its crunchy texture, nutty flavour and big size. Groundnuts have very large potential in domestic as well as international markets.
