LED-Display Assemblies

Moving LEDs into an LED assembly on the top surface of a product produces a wider viewing angle, increased visual brightness, decreased light bleed, improved assembly and easier use of curved surfaces. LED-display assemblies indicate electronic status from onoff, stopgo, speed, alarm and other indications. Value can be found by creating a single LED assembly to replace light pipes or bulky and costly wire harnesses. Eliminating lightpipes where products have high numbers of indicators can significantly simplify mechanical designs and assemblies.
Molex display assemblies may be designed with a large numbers of indicators, and be combined with switches, backers, seven-segment LED-displays or LCDs. Molex's engineering group can help integrate ICs, resistors and other components to enhance or expand the performance and functionality of the displays. A Molex LED-display assembly can reduce a component BOM and improve the quality by providing a complete tested assembly.
