Specification : The main body and oil tanks are of Sheet Metal. The enclosures are both moisture and dust proof. At the upper portion of the starter i.e. just under the top cover all cable all cable terminating points, Overload relay, On/Off and holding mechanism are arranged whereas all moving and fixed Contacts are kept at the bottom part i.e. inside the oil tank so that proper oil cooling of contacts is effective. Auto Transformer is provided at the rear tank. Triple pole Electro-magnetic Overload relay of inverse time-current Characteristics with oil dashpot time lag arrangement of auto reset type is provided for overload Protection. To ensure trouble-free operation, heavy duty type contacts are used. Each contacts has two segments: arching & main contacts. One 3-phase, Oil cooled star connected auto transformer is provided for starting the motor at reduce voltage suitable to develop the starting torque. Normally 50%, 60% and 80% tapping’s are provided on the secondary side.
