Contact Suppliervibration fork level switch (also called a tuning fork level switch) is a point level sensor used to detect the presence or absence of liquids, powders, or granular materials in tanks, silos, or pipelines.
Working principle
It operates on the vibration damping principle:
A fork-shaped probe vibrates at its natural resonance using a piezoelectric element
When the fork is in air → it vibrates freely
When it is covered by material (liquid/solid) → vibration is damped
This change in frequency/amplitude is detected and converted into an ON/OFF output signal

Essentially, it detects whether material is touching the fork or not.
