    Metal detector-Inductive Proximity

     

    Product ID: 1194 An inductive proximity sensor can detect metal targets approaching the sensor, without physical contact with the target. Supply voltage 15 - 30 V DC (typically 24 V DC), No load current less than 10 mA. Maximum load current: 20 mA, Maximum operating temperature - 25°C to + 70°C, Output 0 - 10VDC (sourcing type). Short circuit protection provided status indication provided through LED. Inductive proximity sensors operate under the electrical principle of inductance. Inductance is the phenomenon where a fluctuating current, which by definition has a magnetic component, induces an electromotive force (e.m.f) in a target object. To amplify a device’s inductance effect, a sensor manufacturer twists wire into a tight coil and runs a current through it.
