Sodium Silico Fluoride is a white colored free flowing powder having chemical formula Na2SiF6 with molar mass of 188 g/mol. It has wide range of applications including water fluoridation, manufacturing of enamels & coated papers, opal glass, ore floatation, and as foundry additive. This compound is water insoluble and is completely suitable to be used for oxygen sensitive situations. It also finds use in synthetic organic chemistry and formulation of pharmaceuticals. Sodium Silico Fluoride has slightly pungent odor with density of 2.7 g/cm3 and decomposition temperature of around 500 degrees Celsius. It can also be applied as filler for bonded abrasives.
Trisodium Phosphate is widely utilized in formulation of cleaning agents, as a flux for hard soldering, and as acidity regulator in food industry with E number E339. It is known to have chemical formula Na3PO4 with melting point of 1, 583 degrees Celsius in anhydrous form. This is an inorganic compound which produces alkaline solution when dissolved in water. It is also utilized for deglossing & degreasing of walls before paint application. Trisodium Phosphate also has ability to decrease flow point of glazes in ceramic production. It can be prepared by neutralization of phosphoric acid with sodium carbonate using NaOH.
