Calcite Minerals are widely utilized in construction materials, for agricultural soil treatment, pigments, and pharmaceutical industries. They are hard and stable polymorphs of calcium carbonates having Mohs value 3. These minerals are colorless to white in color with crystalline structure. They are main constituents of limestone and marble with solubility in dilute acids. Calcite Minerals are widely used in production of Portland cement, mortar, and in asphalt mixes as well. They have specific gravity of 2.71 with hexagonal crystal system. These minerals can also act as acid neutralizer and soil conditioner.
