Technology:
Dust Monitor is an optical instrument designed to measure the concentration of dust or particulate matter in exhaustgas passing through a duct, stack or flue. The uses innovative Dynamic Detection Principle (DDP) which measuresfluctuations in the intensity of a light beam, using a folded beam Transceiver / Reflector arrangement. Increased dust or particulate density in the stack causes the amplitude of these fluctuations to increase. When calibrated against standard reference measurements, the amplitude of this signal relates directly to the dust concentration in the stack and this can be presentedas a reading in mg/m.
Applications:
Cement works
Steel plants
Air filtration processes such as electrostatic precipitators
Other industrial applications with larger particle size and relatively high dust loading.
TheATS-DOM100 Dust Opacity Monitoris an advanced instrument designed for thecontinuous measurement of particulate matter emissionsin flue gas and stack applications. It usesoptical light attenuation (opacity) technologyto monitor dust levels in compliance with air pollution control regulations.

Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) are devices used to monitor and analyze the concentration of pollutants released into the atmosphere from industrial processes. These systems are commonly used in power plants, refineries, chemical plants, and other facilities that may produce air emissions, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and to monitor air quality in real-time.
Key Components of CEMS:
rnrn
Sampling System: This part collects a representative sample of the exhaust gases from the stack or emission point.
rn
Analyzers: These instruments analyze the chemical composition of the air sample, typically measuring pollutants such as:
rn
Sulfur Dioxide (SO)rn
rn
Nitrogen Oxides (NOx)
rn
Carbon Monoxide (CO)
rn
Oxygen (O)
rn
Particulate Matter
rn
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)
rn
rn
rn
Data Acquisition and Handling Systems (DAHS): These systems collect, store, and transmit data from the analyzers. They ensure the data is formatted for regulatory reporting.
rn
Calibration and Validation Systems: CEMS typically include automatic or manual calibration features to ensure the accuracy of readings. Validation may involve comparison with reference methods or periodic calibration checks.
rnrn
Types of CEMS:
rnrn
Optical CEMS: These use light-based methods like ultraviolet (UV) or infrared (IR) spectroscopy to detect gases.
rn
Electrochemical CEMS: These rely on chemical reactions of gases with electrodes to measure concentrations.
rn
Infrared CEMS: These systems use infrared absorption techniques, often used to monitor gases like CO and CO.
rn
Chemiluminescence CEMS: These are typically used for NOx monitoring, where the chemical reaction between nitrogen oxides and ozone produces light, which is then measured.
rnrn
Applications:
rn
rn
Regulatory Compliance: CEMS are often mandated by environmental protection agencies (like the U.S. EPA) to ensure that industrial processes are not exceeding allowable emission limits.
rn
Process Optimization: In addition to regulatory functions, CEMS can also be used for process control to optimize fuel use or reduce waste.
rn
Emission Reduction: Data from CEMS can be used to identify areas where emission control systems need improvement.

Sampling dust and particulate matter is important as dust and particulate matter can affect the health of humans, as well as the natural environment.
Dust and particulate matter can cause respiratory problems when breathed in by humans. Dust and particulates above 10 micrometer (PM10) are filtered and generally do not enter the lungs.
Dust and particulate matter that is smaller than 10 micrometers (PM10, PM2.5, PM1.0) can enter into the Alveoli where gas exchange occurs.
This PM2.5 is more dangerous as it can affect the exchange of gases within the lungs and even penetrate the lung into the blood stream and cause other health issues.
PM10 , PM2.5 and PM1.0 are the normal sampling standards found throughout the world, they represent the particulate pollution that effects human health and thus sampling them provides an accurate insight into how dust and particulate matter effect human health.
Handheld/Portable PM Monitor is used to monitor the suspended Particulate concentration in the air with measuring range 0.001mg/M3 to 10 mg/M3.
It adopts optical scattering technique. This type of Product has many advantages, such as fast detection speed, high accuracy, light and small, easy operation, measuring and displaying of 3 channels at the same time.
It adopts the method of automatic measurement, improving the work efficiency effectively.
