  • Pan Speed (RPM): Adjustable via variable frequency drive (VFD), with speeds decreasing as pan size increases (2-15 RPM for PP-AC-36, 2-12 RPM for PP-AC-48, 2-10 RPM for PP-AC-60) to ensure gentle tablet movement and uniform coating.
  • Main Drive Motor (HP): 3-phase 440V, 50 Hz motors for pan rotation; power scales with pan size from 3 HP to 7.5 HP.
  • Inlet Air Blower Motor (HP): 3-phase 440V, 50 Hz motors for hot air supply; ranges from 5 HP to 10 HP, ensuring efficient drying across batch sizes.
  • Material of Construction: GMP-compliant, with SS 316L for contact parts (pan, spray system) and SS 304 for non-contact parts (frame, enclosure).

 

 

Operational Features:

  • Pan Design: Fully perforated pan with anti-sliding baffles for optimal tablet mixing and coating uniformity, rotating on a horizontal axis.
  • Coating Process: Suitable for film coating (aqueous, organic solvent-based, enteric) and sugar coating; tablets undergo continuous orbital motion while coating solution is sprayed via atomized spray guns, followed by hot air drying.
  • Hot Air System: Inlet air handling unit with pre-filter (10 micron), HEPA filter (0.3 micron), and steam/electric heat exchanger; delivers hot air (40°C to 80°C) to dry the coating; exhaust system with 5-micron filter for pollution-free operation.
  • Spray System: Equipped with 2-4 high-precision spray guns (depending on model), adjustable arms, and peristaltic pump for controlled spray rates; anti-bearding nozzles ensure consistent application.
  • Control System: PLC-based HMI for automated control of spray rate, air flow, temperature, and pan speed, ensuring repeatability and precision.
  • Applications: Ideal for film coating, sugar coating, and enteric coating of tablets, pellets, and granules in pharmaceutical production, enhancing stability, taste masking, and appearance.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adheres to cGMP and FDA standards, with safety interlocks, dust-tight design, and validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ).

    • Spray System: Enhanced pneumatic spray system with 3-6 nozzles (depending on pan size), adjustable spray angle, and precision peristaltic pump; includes PLC-based spray rate controller and automatic nozzle cleaning for minimal downtime.
    • Heating System: External steam or electric heating system integrated with the inlet air blower, with a temperature range of 30°C to 90°C; includes safety sensors and interlocks to prevent overheating, enhancing drying efficiency.
