These are light in weight and their construction permits them to left connected/wired in the circuits for continues use because of their negligible power loss and rugged construction.
These instruments can be moving coil, Moving Iron or dynamometer type and have method of indication by means of deflecting pointer only. These instruments are manufactured to meet the requirement of IS 1248/83.
Construction: -
All the instruments are manufactured from the best quality material to give a satisfactory performance over a long period. These instrument either in Square Flush type, Round Flush type equipped with the dust & moisture proof casing. 144 Sq. mm Flush , 96 Sq. mm Flush , 72 Sq. mm Flush and 2.1/2 Round Flush , 4 Round Flush meters of moving iron, moving coil type have bakelite or ABS moulded case, base., these instruments are supplied with white dials and black scaling in order to easy legibility. The stamping is also adequate enough to read from reasonable distance.
The moment is light in weight and is effectively secured between two saffire jewels. The precisely ground pivots are been used for minimizing the friction and sustain accuracy in vigorous field condition. The effective oil damping provides uniformly control torque and brings the indicating pointer to its final deflecting position without much oscillation.
All the metal parts are adequately plated to suit the tropical condition. Instruments are effectively shielded from external magnetic effects and electrostatic influences.
All the instruments have zero setting devices in the front except power factor meters.
Calibration:-
The quality control and inspection at every stage of manufacture at our works enables the meter to pass the Time Test. The qualified staff and the expert supervisors calibrate each and every instrument individually for the finest accuracy. The scaling and marking of the instrument are strictly as per the specified standards. The accuracy is corresponding to full scale deflection and is very effective up to 1/5th of the full scale deflection in moving iron meters and up to 1/10th of he full scale deflection in moving coil and dynamo meter type instruments.
