PTFE Butterfly Valve is a type of gate valve that has the gate in a butterfly shape and the interior of the valve is coated with a ptfe polymer. The ptfe coated butterfly valve has a body, a stem, a handle and the butterfly disc inside the body of the valve. The disc is connected to a central axis which connects to the stem and handle above. The shape of the disc looks like a butterfly; hence the naming. The ptfe seal butterfly valve operates by opening and closing the valve as the disc is rotated horizontally inside the body. When the dis is in parallel to the pipeline the valve is open and when the disc is in perpendicular to the axis of flow, the valve is closed.
