ASTM A105 Valves are made up of a special chemical composition which can be used to make valves of ASME B16.34 and B16.10 face to face dimensions. The material has carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium in it. The ASTM A105 Gate Valves are forged material made valves. Sluice Valve (Gate Valve) Description:
A Sluice Valve, commonly referred to as a Gate Valve, is an isolation valve used to start or stop the flow of fluid in a pipeline. It operates by raising or lowering a gate (wedge) inside the valve body to control fluid passage. When fully open, the gate is completely drawn up into the bonnet, allowing an unobstructed flow path with minimal pressure drop. When closed, the gate seats tightly against the body to ensure a leak-proof seal.
