In todays disrupted world, an organizations ability to grow its business while reducing its carbon footprint is key to sustainable competitiveness. This is why in September 2015, Siemens announced that it aimed to be the world''s first major industrial company to achieve a net-zero carbon footprint by 2030. One way we aim to achieve this is by changing how we consume and buy energy, but also through increased use of on-site energy production all supported by continuous data analyses. We call this Total Energy Management, and this is the same approach we follow to help clients around the world reduce their energy and operating costs plus their carbon footprint.
Understand and prioritize the threats to your business with the international standard for business continuity. ISO 22301 specifies the requirements for a management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of, and ensure your business recovers from disruptive incidents
ISO 22301:2012 specifies requirements to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and continually improve a documented management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of occurrence, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive incidents when they arise.
The requirements specified in ISO 22301:2012 are generic and intended to be applicable to all organizations, or parts thereof, regardless of type, size and nature of the organization. The extent of application of these requirements depends on the organization''''s operating environment and complexity.

Technical Inspection
Why inspect with us?DCS-LL-C(Europe) has available a global network of qualified inspectors. We prefer experience and qualification of the inspector in combination with regular inspections on the production or assembly sited in the field of large assembly and complex equipment inspections. For inspections of simpler products (check of functionality, quantity and packing), we can offer appropriate prices thanks to the network of inspectors in more than 40 countries of the world. As standard with our quotation, we deliver anonymous curriculum vitae of an inspector for the customer to review his/her experience before placing an order. We are always looking for the most feasible inspection while keeping finances in mind. We always review the costs with respect to full customer costs; we also regard the costs for test samples, transport costs, inspector travelling expenses and last but not least the time factor.
When outsourced inspection services are paid off?
Unique assemblies.Surely always when the supplies of unique products are at stake (investment units, constructions, complex equipment). Hence, in cases when no series production products are involved but supplies where extensive financial loss may be suffered due to any error. For a series-produced product, it is always fine to replace the product, however, for a larger project poor quality sub-supplies may result in extra costs related to repairs, time shifting for delivery of the project as well as financial loss of the customer due to delayed launch of operation.
Remote supplier. We have available a global network and our inspectors within he global network are often closer to the manufacturer than the customer representative. We can offer an inspection from one-day visit to permanent or repeated involvement at the manufacturer.
Ranges and types of the technical inspection
Participation during production and tests. The customer, who requires inspection, usually defines the scope of the inspection activities and tests according to its procedures. DCS-LL-C then checks compliance with the documents delivered by the customer in the form of approved technical documentation, procedures, and provisions in contracts or as reference to generally available standards. Either an inspection report or certificate on conformity is issued.
Provision of compliance with legislation requirements.Based on basic project submitted by the customer, DCS-LL-C will define additional requirements of legislation requirements of the target country or compliance of the same is reviewed during production, completion or operation tests. This type of service is usually used for supplies where a general contractor dispatches equipment to third country.
Inspection as a bank instrument. We offer inspection of quality, quantity and packaging in cases where the customer makes payment via a letter of credit and a certificate from an independent third party is one of the documents required.
Instrument for declaration of compliance
Declaration on conformity of producer, supplier or operator. For some modules, where declaration on conformity by the producer or supplier is required for checking of compliance (e.g. CE mark), an inspection report from third party is a legitimate document for issuing of the certificate. Use our experience to help the producer, supplier or operator of equipment to find an optimum solution for cooperation from determination of basic requirements, testing up to full inspection services.

Course is certified by ASCB(UK). Total quality management (TQM) has far-reaching implications for the management of human resources. It emphasizes self-control, autonomy, and creativity among employees and calls for greater active cooperation rather than just compliance.
Indeed, it is becoming a maxim of good management that human factors are the most important dimensionin quality and productivity improvement.
Involvement: A central idea of Human Resource utilization
At the heart of the TQM is the concept of intrinsic motivation-involvement in decision making by the employees. Employee involvement is a process for empowering members of an organization to make decisions and to solve problems appropriate to their levels in the organization.
The Lean (Toyota) systems, utilizing JIT techniques are more productive, smaller and more efficient, increases worker pride and involvement on shop floor.
Define Employee Empowerment
The dictionary definition of empowerment is to invest people with authority
Empowerment should not be confused with delegation or job enrichment. Delegation refers to distributing and entrusting work to others. Employee empowerment requires that he individual is held responsible for accomplishing the whole task. The employee becomes process owner- thus the individual is not only responsible but also accountable. Employee empowerment requires that the individual is held responsible for accomplishing a whole task.
Suggestion System
Suggestion systems are designed to provide the individual with the opportunity to be involved by contributing to the organization. The key to an effective system is management commitment. It is
the responsibility of management to make it easy for employees to suggest improvements.
Five Ground Rules for Stimulating and Encouraging Suggestion System are:
1. Be Progressive by regularly asking your employees for suggestions
2. Remove fear by focusing on the process and not on the person.
3. Simplify the process so it is easy to participate
4. Respond Quickly to suggestions and within specified period of time
5. Reward the idea with published recognition so that everyone knows the value of contribution.

Although the ISO 9000 Quality Standards have been welcomed by all industries in general, they are quite generic in nature. The Automotive Industry has realized that its requirements are much more stringent than the ISO 9000 standards. In 1988 Chrysler, ford and General Motor Corporation developed QS 9000 standard, which was accepted by ISO technical committee (TC 176) as TS 16949 automotive industry.
Our well developed process approach as well as rich industry experience also helps us in providing our customers highly effective Certification services for ISO 17025:2005. It is a leading international laboratory quality management system (QMS) standard. Further, ISO 17025:2005 is compatible with (but not equivalent to) ISO 9001:2000. ISO 17025 certification connects laboratory quality management system to all other laboratory processes.
The new requirements for achieving this certification include continual improvement of quality management system as well as improved communication with customers. Further, the Technical Requirements of 2005 revision are virtually unchanged.

A distinctive feature of an energy inspection carried out by Russian Federation is its integrated nature. At the request of the customer the Company carries out a turn-key implementation of elaborated energy saving measures from engineering and delivery to assembly and startup of equipment.
Mandatory energy inspection of an enterprise or organization is carried out stage by stage, within the following phases:
A refusal letter is an official document issued by a certification authority which states that no mandatory certification is required for the product or that the product belongs to a group of products for which compliance can be confirmed with a compliance declaration. A refusal letter must be written on the letterhead of the authority that issues it and must bear the coat of arms seal of said authority.
A refusal letter may be required when it is not clear which TN VED or OKP code should be used for the identification of a specific product, which naturally raises the question of whether or not the product needs to be certified. This question may be asked by different supervisory authorities such as the customs or other supervisory agencies and sometimes your clients may also request that you provide a compliance or quality certificate for the products you offer them. However, a refusal letter cannot serve as proof of the products quality; therefore in the majority of cases its best to get a voluntary certificate.
It follows from the above that there can be to kinds of refusal letters:
The only difference between these two types is the addressee.
A letter for a business partner is addressed to the sole trader or business organisation that requested it.
A letter for the customs authorities is addressed to the head of the state customs committee plus it also includes information about the contract under which the products were imported, there are no other differences.

The Standard is published in three parts:
ISO 14064-3:2006 specifies requirements for selecting GHG validators/verifiers, establishing the level of assurance, objectives, criteria and scope, determining the validation/verification approach, assessing GHG data, information, information systems and controls, evaluating GHG assertions and preparing validation/verification statements.
ISO 52000-1:2017 establishes a systematic, comprehensive and modular structure for assessing the energy performance of new and existing buildings (EPB) in a holistic way.
It is applicable to the assessment of overall energy use of a building, by measurement or calculation, and the calculation of energy performance in terms of primary energy or other energy-related metrics. It takes into account the specific possibilities and limitations for the different applications, such as building design, new buildings 'as built', and existing buildings in the use phase as well as renovation.
NOTE Table 1 in the Introduction shows the relative position of ISO 52000-1:2017 within the set of EPB standards in the context of the modular structure as set out in ISO 52000-1:2017.

Management system for private security operations -- Requirements with guidance for use
ISO 18788:2015 provides a framework for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving the management of security operations.
It provides the principles and requirements for a security operations management system (SOMS). ISO 18788:2015 provides a business and risk management framework for organizations conducting or contracting security operations and related activities and functions while demonstrating:
a) conduct of professional security operations to meet the requirements of clients and other stakeholders;
b) accountability to law and respect for human rights;
c) consistency with voluntary commitments to which it subscribes.
ISO 18788:2015 is applicable to any organization that needs to:
a) establish, implement, maintain and improve an SOMS;
b) assess its conformity with its stated security operations management policy;
c) demonstrate its ability to consistently provide services that meet client needs and are in conformance with applicable laws and human rights requirements.
Managing the impact of climate change
Extreme weather, rising temperatures and greenhouse gas emissions are all aspects of our changing climate that can impact businesses. They can also create opportunities. A recent report by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) showed that a group of the worlds largest companies, worth collectively nearly USD17trillion, have valued the cost of climate change risks to their business at almost USD1trillion. On the flip side, they valued potential gains from business opportunities at more than double.1)
Therefore, having robust plans in place to adapt to climate change is key to business success.
ISO14090, Adaptation to climate change Principles, requirements and guidelines, is the first in a range of ISOstandards in this area and aims to help organizations assess climate change impacts and put plans in place for effective adaptation. It helps them identify and manage risks, as well as seize any opportunities that climate change may bring.
It offers a framework that enables organizations to give appropriate consideration to climate change adaptation when designing and implementing policies, strategies, plans and activities.
John Dora, Co-Convenor of the working group that developed the standard, said climate change impacts such as unexpected weather and temperature changes can have a significant effect on an organizations bottom line if they are not prepared for it, causing infrastructure damage or disruption to their business: Understanding climate impacts is not just for those implementing climate actions. Organizational decisions are made on the basis of risks and opportunities, so understanding resilience is useful across the value chain such as in purchasing, investment and insurance.
Fellow Co-Convenor Liang Sun added: ISO14090 will enable organizations to assess and prepare for climate impacts and make them more resilient. It will also help them spot potential opportunities for maximizing the use of resources or new sources of revenue.
The new ISO standard is useful for all kinds of organizations, regardless of whether they have adaptation plans in place. Implementation also enables users to directly contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal on climate action (SDG13).
ISO14090 was developed by working group9 of ISO technical committee ISO/TC207, Environmental management, subcommittee7, Greenhouse gas management and related activities, the secretariat of which is held jointly bySAC, ISOs member for China andSCC, ISOs member for Canada.
It is intended to be the overarching standard for adaptation to climate change, and the committee is also working on other standards that will provide further guidance. These includeISO14091, Adaptation to climate changeVulnerability, impacts and risk assessmentandISO14092, GHG Management and related activities: requirement and guidance of adaptation planning for organizations including local governments and communities.
ISO 10006:2003, Quality management systems - Guidelines for quality management in projects, is aninternational standarddeveloped by theInternational Organization for Standardization.
ISO 10006:2003 gives guidance on the application ofquality managementin projects.
It is applicable to projects of varying complexity, small or large, of short or long duration, in different environments, and irrespective of the kind of product or process involved. This can necessitate some tailoring of the guidance to suit a particular project.
ISO 10006:2003 is not a guide to "project management" itself. Guidance on quality in project management processes is discussed in this International Standard. Guidance on quality in a project''s product-related processes, and on the "process approach", is covered inISO 9004. A new "Project Management - Guide to project Management"ISO 21500has been published in September 2012.
Since ISO 10006:2003 is a guidance document, it is not intended to be used for certification/registration purposes.
SO 10006, Quality management Guidelines to quality in project management, claims to provide "guidance on quality system elements, concepts and practices for which the implementation is important to, and has an impact on, the achievement of quality in project management." In our opinion, application of this document is more likely to have the opposite effect: if attention is given to the items identified in the standard at the expense of others critical to project management, the result could very well be a poorly managed and unnecessarily costly project that is compliant with the standard.
Strong words, perhaps, but let us look at some of guidance the standard provides, and you can draw your own conclusion.
First of all, ISO 10006 does seem to cover the right subjects scope, cost, time, risk, and so on. In fact, it identifies virtually the same set of project management processes and knowledge areas asAGuide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge. Not much of a surprise since the ISO committee used a draft of that document as a key input during the development of their document. There are, however, some notable omissions:
Second, the document says that it is "not a guide to project management itself, " yet the level of detail provided and the phraseology used in most clauses and subclauses runs counter to this stated intent. There is much use of prescriptive terms such as "action should be taken, " decisions should be "formally documented, " "special attention should be given to, " or "particular attention should be given to." This language creates a false impression of priorities for successful project management and raises the risk of misuse of the standard.

While rapid urbanisation, growing cities provide various opportunities, there are fallouts in terms of proliferation of slums, high prices of land and building materials which render houses unaffordable for the segment at the bottom of the pyramid. Therefore, the need for adequate housing for the low-income groups will substantially increase.
Most importantly, while we create housing for these sections of the society, they need to be green too. The principles of green and sustainability are fortunately or unfortunately community-agnostic, in the sense that they also need to handle wastages a bit more carefully, be thrifty in the usage of energy & water, handle waste in a hygienic manner to avoid outbreak of epidemics, reduced use of virgin materials and above all enhance their own quality of lives.
Housing that is appropriate to the needs of a household and within their means to pay along with being environment conscious. The means (or capacity) of a household to pay for their housing depends on three primary factors:

Although there are differences in certain details, there is a wide agreement that the health of an individual is not just the state of his physical body but an aggregate of the body, senses, mind and soul. An unhealthy state of mind is often the cause of illness and to remain disease-free it is important to have a healthy mind and body. The table below demonstrates how the five elements are connected with our body.
The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) was formed by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in 2001. The council is based out of the CII Green Business Centre, Hyderabad which is Indias 1st Platinum rated green building. The vision of the council is to enable Sustainable built environment for all.
IGBC is the country''''s premier body for green building certification and allied services. Today, with strong support from various stakeholders, we have achieved the following significant milestones:
IGBC certifies the green projects which are conceptualized, designed, constructed and operated as per IGBC Ratings. Till date, more than 1, 250 projects (approx 400 million sq ft) have been rated by IGBC. These IGBC-rated projects, as compared to conventional structures, have demonstrated tremendous savings to the extent of up to:

TheGreen Societywas a small New Zealand political party dedicated to environmentalism. It was one of three environmentalist parties involved in the 1996 election, the others being the Green Party (then part of the Alliance) and the Progressive Green Party. The Green Society believed that environmentalism should be the sole and exclusive focus of any "green" party, and that both of the other groups were in error in their attempts to lay out social and economic policies as well.[citation needed]The party was led by Simon Reeves, an environmental lawyer, who contested the Auckland Central electorate.[1]The party contested eight electorates as well as the party list, but gained only 1, 140 electorate and 2, 363 list votes (0.11%), failing to win any seats.[2]

The library provides a variety of books and encyclopedias, including a collection of around 16, 000 thousand books from 38 countries over the world.[5]The magazine street refers to an area furnished with bookshelves displaying 250 kinds of magazines, both in Korean and foreign languages, with various different categories including fashion, beauty, sports, leisure, IT, cooking, business, economy, and so on. Visitors also have access to a cafe selling beverages and snacks, as well as a store selling character products made by Naver and Line. Part of the profits go to organizations that support the disabled.
The Connect Hall, which is located on the second floor, is a multipurpose auditorium for meetings, lectures, seminars, concerts, and weddings. The auditorium can accommodate up to 260 people, and has power sockets underneath each seat so that visitors can use their laptops freely.
The Green Factory also has an exercise center where professional trainers provides personalized workout programs for employees. Other facilities include a caf, an outdoor terrace, [6]a healthcare center, a shower room, a recovery room, and a massage room. On the same floor there is also a convenience store, a travel agency, an insurance agency, a postal service, and a help desk.
The emergency stairs sport different patterns and designs instead of the typical painted concrete finish.[1]One side is themed like a park, and it is intended to have a peaceful and eco-friendly atmosphere with brighter lighting. The other side is designed like a track, encouraging employees to exercise by indicating the number of calories burnt.

Green building(also known asgreen constructionorsustainable building) refers to both a structure and the application of processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building''s life-cycle: from planning to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition.[1]This requires close cooperation of the contractor, the architects, the engineers, and the client at all project stages.[2]The Green Building practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort.[3]
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a set of rating systems for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of green buildings which was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. Other certificates system that confirms the sustainability of buildings is the British BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) for buildings and large-scale developments. Currently, World Green Building Council is conducting research on the effects of green buildings on the health and productivity of their users and is working with World Bank to promote Green Buildings in Emerging Markets through EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) Market Transformation Program and certification.[4]There are also other tools such as Green Star in Australia and the Green Building Index (GBI) predominantly used in Malaysia.
Although new technologies are constantly being developed to complement current practices in creating greener structures, the common objective of green buildings is to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment by:
