Aspartame
Aspartame is an artificial, non-saccharide sweetener used as a sugar
substitute in foods and beverages. Aspartame is approximately 200
times sweeter than sucrose (table sugar). The taste of aspartame and
other artificial sweeteners differs from that of table sugar in the
times of onset and how long the sweetness lasts. The sweetness of
aspartame lasts longer than that of sucrose, and it is often blended
with other artificial sweeteners such as acesulfame potassium to
produce an overall taste more like sugar.

Xylitol
Xylitol is a sugar alcohol which is used as a sweetener in white
crystalline powder form. Xylitol is actively beneficial for dental
health by reducing cavities and helpful to remineralization in tooth
enamel. It occurs naturally in low concentrations in the fibers of
many fruits and vegetables, and can be extracted from various berries,
oats, and mushrooms, as well as fibrous material such as corn husks
and sugar cane bagasse.
Xylitol is chemically pure and contains no additives, preservatives or
colors. It is used in foods, chewing gum, mouthwash & toothpaste,
pharmaceuticals, dietetic products, and cosmetics.
