Paddle-Wheel Turbine Flowmeter With Indicator Technical Description The principle of operation of this unit is the generation of a angular frequency on a paddle wheel. The flow is deflected by a nozzle onto the paddle wheel, there the kinetic energy is converted into angular motion. The angular frequency is transmitted to an analysis unit, without contact, by a ring magnet and converted there into an analogue voltage signal. This voltage signal corresponds to the actual flow rate and is displayed on a digital display. The operating area of the unit is fitted with a transparent cover and as a result can be clearly seen.

This is a microcontroller based equipment with lcd. The analog metres have multiple scales which makes the instrument very complicated for the students. The digital display of swr & db solves the problem. Since the equipment have microcontroller based digital display so there is no need of expanded scales, as it was in conventional instruments
Electromagnetic Flowmeter Technical Description The Magnetic-Inductive Flowmeter exploits Faraday's induction law. This law states that a conductor in motion in a magnetic field produces a voltage. In this experimental set-up the conductor in motion is the water, the magnetic field in the area through which the flow passes is generated by a switched, d.c. changing polarity. The voltage induced in the magnetic field is proportional to the flow rate and is acquired using 2 insulated electrodes. This measuring device is used predominantly in industry and is very precise.
Standard Gyroscope The brass wheel is 7.5 cm dia and 3 cm at its rim, carefully balanced and all the three pairs ofpivots are adjustable. Complete fitted on metalbase.
